I am a Washington DC Film Photographer. Film has become the center of my business in 2021 and I am so grateful that my small business continues to evolve.
There is something so special about a film photo that no other art seems to capture. The immense nostalgia, the tones and colors, and the time spent in the moment between taking photos that I get to spend with my subject. When looking through my grandparents wedding album every photo was so perfect, simple, and told a story. They only had 26 images in their album.
One thing that I want to bring to my clients in 2022 is shooting less but having more meaning behind each image. Film forces me to do that during every session because there is limited amount of film in my fanny pack.
Thankful for trusting my gut this past year and continuing my love for film.
