Oregon is easily one of the most beautiful states in America to plan your dream elopement! From the beaches to the mountains, Oregon is filled with stunning locations to suit any style or vibe. But with endless options to choose from for your destination wedding celebration, choosing the perfect spot to say “I do” can be a daunting task!

So, during the summer of 2020, I set out on a roadtrip to explore the most jaw-dropping elopement spots Oregon had to offer! Join me on my journey across my favorite state to visit some of the incredible locations I explored! And who knows…maybe your Oregon destination wedding location is one of these listed below!

1.Crater Lake

Crater Lake is easily one of the most epic spots in Oregon. When you think of destination elopements, everyone always thinks of mountain tops or a tropical paradise. But with its brilliant blue water and instantly recognizable cliff overlooks, this is a spot you can’t beat! Pro tip: I recommend planning your ceremony early in the morning to avoid crowds of tourists.

2. Mount Hood

Another breathtaking elopement local is Mount Hood, specifically at Timberline Lodge located on the south side of the mountain. You have a perfect view of snow capped Mount Jefferson, and with the flowers blooming all around the lodge, it’s truly got the best of all seasons! Timberline Lodge is one of the most epic and historical hotels, and it would be the perfect place to stay the night after an elopement!

3. Cannon Beach

We stayed here a full week during our trip, but I could easily have stayed here for an entire year. This quintessentially West Coach beach is a stunner though rain, fog, or shine! I could easily picture a sundrenched couples reciting their vows on the coast at golden hour, and I hope to photograph an elopement here in the very near future!

4. Diamond Lake

Located about 20 miles from Crater Lake, Diamond Lake is a lesser known but still beautiful location! And lesser known means fewer tourists! So, if you’re looking to avoid crowds, this might be the spot for you. In the evening, the lake shines with gold, and the dock extending out into the lake would be an unforgettable spot for an elopement with family and friends!

5. Rogue River

For the daring and dauntless among us, the Rogue River is the ideal spot for an Oregon adventure elopement! With river rafting options, and adorable cabins dotting the river’s edge, a couple could plan a full weekend trip culminating in a wedding here. I’d highly recommend checking out Morrisons Rogue River Lodge. When we were there it felt like a scene ripped out of a Swiss Family Robinson film!

As you explore your options for an Oregon elopement, keep in mind that you might need a permit for your celebration in some locations. Particularly if you’re planning to get married in a National Park, they may require a permit depending on the location and the number of guests. So, just make sure you check ahead of time to avoid any hiccups.
