Olivia & Blaize’s Northern Virginia Wedding

is one of my favorite weddings from 2020 was Olivia and Blaize’s Northern Virginia wedding. I’ve found myself returning to the photographs repeatedly because they just make me so dang happy. I am so excited to share them with you on the blog today.

On October 24th, 2020, the day began with the girls and guys getting ready at the Hyatt Regency in Tysons, Northern Virginia. I had an amazing time hanging out with the bridesmaids as Olivia got ready with her best friends and her mom.

Olivia’s mom helped her into her gorgeous gown and all of us were wiping away tears in the bathroom. It was an emotional moment to witness when Olivia showed her dress to her bridesmaids for the first time.

Then, we all traveled to Olivia’s parents’ house. Thirty chairs fanned out next to their front porch, awaiting the big moment. As Olivia and the girls patiently waited in Olivia’s childhood bedroom, I couldn’t help but think how much I love the intimacy of a home wedding day.

We were surrounded by so much family history. You could almost feel the joy of all the beautiful memories that filled the home.

When the big moment finally arrived,

Olivia and Blaize’s close family and friends gathered in the front yard. Olivia’s dad walked her down the aisle, and the way he looked at her was so precious. It melted everyone’s heart! The ceremony itself was brief but filled with so much love.

After the ceremony, we all headed to the backyard where we were blown away by the gorgeous reception space created by The Hitched Co. It was such a beautiful space to photograph.

Then, through the speeches, dinner, cake cutting, and dancing, everyone was overjoyed to celebrate the love Olivia and Blaize share. They are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.
