Christine & Charle’s Potomac, Maryland Wedding
On Dec. 28th, 2020 — just two years and a few months after their first date. Christine stepped into her wedding gown in her childhood bedroom, while her fiancé Charles waited downstairs. Surrounded by their immediate family, Christine and Charles tied the knot in Our Lady of Mercy Church in Potomac, MD. This was such a beautiful Maryland wedding to capture!
This chapel is really near to my heart, because I used to go here a lot with my dad growing up. The stone walls and stained glass windows always stood out in my memories, so when I learned this would be the wedding venue, I couldn’t wait!
And Christine and her dad definitely arrived in style. They made the five-minute drive from her family home to Our Lady of Mercy chauffeured by their neighbor in a picture-perfect Packard Super 8 Convertible Sedan. It was such a special and sweet moment for the two of them. That wasn’t the only unique way family played a role in the day. After the “I do”s, the newlyweds exited the chapel under a saber arch created in part by Christine’s uncle and cousin!
Then, after family and couple’s photos at Our Lady of Mercy, we rode back to Christine’s family home in the getaway car. I love wedding days that give me alone time with the couple. I’m able to take photos of moments guests never see. While also giving the couple space to enjoy their first moments as husband and wife.
Christine’s sweet parents then welcomed us at their home for an intimate reception filled with joy, old family stories, and laughter. I felt so honored to be included in Christine and Charles’ special day, and capture their intimate Maryland wedding.
