When I decided to plan an sugarloaf elopement styled shoot, I couldn’t have booked a more perfect couple for the session than Kent and Kelly! This precious pair met in middle school and started dating a few years after that. Now, married for five years, they travel the world together and are always ready for an adventure!
We met each other at the parking lot on Sugarloaf and strolled around the hillside to explore a bit, searching for the best light. The session was so relaxed and low-key as we really took our time at each spot we discovered. And capturing breathtaking photos of Kent and Kelly was beyond easy! Their energy and love for each other was as beautiful as the unbelievable view!
Then we hiked nearly a mile up the viewpoint, stopping for photos along the way. I loved how these two were always up for anything! And their creativity inspired mine, too. At one point, we had to climb a long staircase, and we decided that would be a fun backdrop to use for the session. The photos we took there are some of my favorites!
We reached the viewpoint just as the sun began to set. Each minute the light grew richer and more saturated, giving us a beautiful range of moods across the gallery. And we had it all to ourselves! The peaceful silence gave the whole session a magical feeling, and it was one of those moments that I will always remember as an elopement photographer!
Kent and Kelly were a dream to photograph! I am so grateful that I got to hang out with them on Sugarloaf mountain, and I hope I get to photograph them again soon. Enjoy some of my favorite images from their adventurous elopement styled session!
I can’t wait to photograph my next sugarloaf elopement!
