Cannon Beach Elopement
After dreaming of photographing an adventure session on the West Coast, I never could have dreamed how beautiful it would be when I finally had the chance to do it! Cannon Beach, one of the dreamiest places on the West Coast, is filled with fog, starfish, and travelers. But despite all of the visitors, this breathtaking location is such a peaceful and tranquil destination to photograph, and it is easily the most beautiful beach that I have traveled to in the United States! This cannon beach elopement was one of my favorite sessions of 2020.
I connected with the couple, Traci and Bill, through a wedding photography Facebook page. Traci is a fellow elopement photographer who lives in her van and travels all across the country! How awesome is that? I met Traci and Bill at their van, and they are one of the sweetest, down to earth, and adventurous couples I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with.
When the time came to begin our session, they immediately raced straight into the ocean! Traci didn’t care at all about getting her dress dirty. Talk about a photographer’s dream! But, as we walked around Haystack rock, jumped in the tidal pools, and ran into the ocean, the most beautiful thing about the session was the connection Traci and Bill have with each other. Their love made every single photo glow with a special warmth and joy. Cannon Beach was the perfect backdrop.
At the end of the session, Traci’s dress was completely soaked and weighed about 5 extra pounds because of all the sand, but it was so worth it! I am delighted to share this styled shoot with you. This was a massive milestone in my career as an elopement and wedding photographer. But I couldn’t have done it without Traci and Bill! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for stepping in front of my camera for a session I’ll never, ever forget! I can’t wait to photograph at Cannon Beach again!
